Ring Leader
Spring 2017
Created as part of a collaborative collection entitled Night Circus.
The texture of the skirt is created from gathered strips of fabric stitched in a serpentine pattern to the base fabric. I sewed the seams using French seams for a neat finish in the sheer fabric.
I created the pattern by draping on a half scale form of my model, created from a 3D body scan.
The fabric is a sheer polyester voile and a solid black Nylon.
Using 3D body scan technology, a half scale mannequin of the model was created.
The outfit was draped on this half scale mannequin, digitized, and scaled up in Optitex, and laser cut.
